Lucy Lu

Violinist, Conductor, and Educator

Lucy Lu is an accomplished violinist, conductor, and educator whose dynamic career has

spanned performances in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls across the United

States, China, and Europe. As a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player and conductor, she

has consistently demonstrated exceptional artistry and leadership.

Ms. Lu has served as Concertmaster for the Bellflower Symphony and the Orchestra Collective

of Orange County and currently holds the position of 1st violinist with the Plaża String Quartet.

Her performance credits include collaborations with esteemed ensembles such as the Nie’Er

Symphony Orchestra in China, LA Chamber Choir, and Celestial Opera Company. Notable

appearances include the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Soka

Performing Arts Center, Cerritos Performing Art Center, Irvine Barclay Theatre, Musco Center

for the Arts, and Carpenter Performing Arts Center.

In 2024, Ms. Lu achieved a career milestone by conducting the Orange County Youth String

Ensemble in a side-by-side performance with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. This unique

collaboration highlighted her exceptional conducting skills and ability to inspire young

musicians.

As an educator, Ms. Lu founded Violinbaby Music Studio. Her students have earned places at

prestigious institutions such as The Colburn School, Seattle Youth Symphony, Pasadena Youth

Symphony Orchestra, and Claremont Youth Symphony Orchestra. They have also triumphed in

international competitions, including the MAP International Music Competition, where Ms. Lu

was honored as an Outstanding Instructor in 2022.

Ms. Lu serves as the conductor of the Orange County Youth String Ensemble

and is a dedicated string coach at several educational institutions, including Arcadia High

School, Arroyo High School, Four Seasons Youth Orchestra, and South Coast Youth Symphony

Orchestra.

Currently, Ms. Lu is a String Consultant for the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District

(HLPUSD), where she plays a crucial role in enhancing the district’s string programs and

supporting the development of student musicians.

Ms. Lu holds a Master’s degree from the Bob Cole Conservatory at California State University,

Long Beach, where she studied under Professor Moni Simeonov. Her passion for both

performance and education drives her commitment to fostering a deep appreciation for classical

music, inspiring students and audiences alike.


Aubrey Williams

Aubrey Williams is pursuing her Master’s in Music for violin performance at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at the California State University of Long Beach. At CSU Long Beach she received the Strings Area assistantship and performed as a member of the University String Quartet. She studies violin and receives chamber coachings from Moni Simeonov. In 2023, she received a Garth Newel Emerging Artist fellowship where she performed a series of chamber concerts in Virginia. Aubrey received her Bachelor’s of Music in violin performance from the University of the Pacific, where she studied under Igor Veligan. At Pacific she served as co-concertmaster of the orchestra and led multiple chamber groups.
